Hebrea was out second mare imported from Spain, bred by the prestigous stud El Reguero y Chaparral. She is pure Military Stud breeding, granddaughter of the qualified mare Pregonera XII, that was awarded Movement Champion of Spain in 2003. Her pedigree includes well known horses such as Leviton, Remache, Jenson, Tallista, some of which can be found in current olympic level dressage horses. Hebrea has a beautiful kind temperament, powerful forward movement and a strong back, loins and shoulders.
Her full brother Burlador ER has been a successful stallion in Costa Rica.

Mistica was our first female offspring out of our foundation mare Alondra XXIX. She impressed with her serene beauty and stunning Carthusian breed type. Sadly, she left us much too early and only produced 2 foals. Her daughter Hanna Astoria (by Dominante XXIX, qualified USA) owned by Five Hawks Stud in Palmerston North, continues her legacy.

Briosa was leased back to our stud for a few years. She is another quality offspring of our foundation mare Alondra XXIX, by the imported stallion Cancionero CA. She needs no introduction on her dam's side. Her sire carries the genetics of Indiano XVIII "the Lion of Spain" bred by Nobleza de la Guadiana, Estremadura, Spain.
Prior to selling her, she had one colt by Jaleador and upon her return to our stud produced another 3 magnificent foals

Esmeralda arrived at our stud in early December 2010 from Debbie Gallety of Alma Vista Stud, Queensland and is yet another example of the beautiful type of mares bred with the genetics of this stud.
Tara Esmeralda is by Almatelo (Militario x Manuka Mistica) out of Delamere (Dacio III x Gofa Twilight)
The decision to add Esmeralda to our young mare herd was based on her bloodlines, giving us yet another great combination of Dacio III bloodlines and those of Militario and Hortelano VII via Manuka Mistica. Esmeralda's sire, Almatelo is the full brother to Alma Velador who is the sire of our previous stallion Alma Director that is now owned by Dave & Liz Clayton in Carterton. Esmeralda is also closely related to one of our now retired foundation mares, Alondra XXIX, via her paternal granddam, Manuka Mistica.
Esmeralda was sold to Five Hawks Stud, Palmerston North.

Foundation Mares
With the importation of Paseo II, Huri SJA, Hebrea ER and Hanna Aroha (imported in utero) our stud has changed direction to concentrate on breeding lines with predominantly MF de la Escalera, Yeguada Military, Miura bloodlines. However, we need to recognize the enormous contribution that our earlier foundation mares have made to establishing the PRE population in New Zealand. In our first 2 decades of breeding PRE horse, we imported the above mares from Australia. From top left clockwise: Lucia Escaladora, Jovencita III, Moonshine Lace and Alondra XXIX. Many of their offspring helped establish other studs as well as becoming beloved riding horses.
