Paseo II is the second qualified PRE breeding stallion purchased in Spain by Hanna Stud. He marks the continuation of our efforts to improve the bloodlines in New Zealand and our ongoing passion for the Purebred Spanish Horse.

 

We appreciate to have been given the opportunity to purchase such an amazing horse from his breeder and previous owner, D. Amador Alonso, of Yeguada Los Amadores, North of Madrid. Paseo was in very high demand internationally, so we were extremely fortunate to secure him for New Zealand.
Paseo is not only a qualified stallion, but also a recommended breeding stallion for dressage (JRR), having achieved 72% in his 5-year-old dressage test in Spain. He is the result of careful, selective breeding for type, temperament and movement with a special emphasis on dressage suitability.

His pedigree includes the "who is who" of bay PRE bloodlines, based predominantly on Escalera, Miura and Military lines. Given the good inbreeding coefficients in his pedigree, Paseo is ideally positioned to be a prepotent sire animal and to pass his traits onto his offspring.

 

He was a proven sire when we purchased him in 2016, with offspring already on the ground in Spain, and has produce foals both with fresh and frozen semen. Since then he has produced stunning offspring in NZ with a variety of PRE mares, showing great consistency with passing on his outstanding morphological traits.

Paseo II  is available via transported semen within NZ to a select number of mares upon private treaty. Frozen semen is also available for both NZ, Australia and North America.
